Parents’ Council

Lagan College was founded by parents in 1981 so in keeping with the vision of our founders, our Parents' Council takes an active role in school life and in the support of our integrated and inclusive ethos and values.

The College has a strong, active Parents’ Council which is an important part of the school community. The Council’s role is to support the College, helping with the coordination of school functions such as Open Day or the annual school show and through organising a number of fundraising and social events events.

The Council is kept up to date with what is happening in the College and usually meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 6.30pm in the Library. The monthly meetings provide a great opportunity for parents to get to know one another and contribute to the school life of their child.

If you are interested in learning more about the Council and possibly joining it, please contact Miss Collins, Vice Principal, here.

Gladys Wylie is the Chair of the Parents’ Council.
